Day 46 – Easy Rider in Ballarat
After we had found an appropriate place to camp last night, the team set up and I began to cook for them. It was a beautiful night as the rain had really cooled down the whole valley. It was a nearly start as always when camping and we set of to Ballarat. Hopefully we could get there today after yesterday’s set back.
Ballarat is famous for one reason for me. Easy Rider. An iconic motorcycle film and having ridden with Peter Fonda before I felt I was able to recreate the opening scene. We met up with Peter Hayes. One of Eagle Rider drivers who had organized a special treat for me. The captain America bike from the film! It was nothing like driving the stable reliable BMW GS. Never before have handle bars obstructed my line of sight before, but what a drive!
