Austin, NV was a small quaint town. We decided to find something smaller. Where better than Ballarat, CA. We were so close to our final goal and the end convoy. So we needed to find something that was old America. Where better than the ghost town of Ballarat. Not too mention it is in the opening of the great movie ‘Easy Rider’. So we went off to Death Valley. The lowest frontier in the while of the states.
Death Valley, known for being one of the dryest and hottest places on Earth, was far from it. Some how, on this whole trip, we have brought the rain with us! We are doing nothign for the English stereotype. In fact it was raining and flooding so hard parts of the road were destroyed and washed away. I was determined to get the 1200 GS threw it though and she did not disappoint. Those BMW bikes were getting more and more impressive each model. However the destruction of the one road we needed was not ideal and therefore we only had one option. To camp in Death Valley.
