Day 37 – On the way to New Mexico
It was a last minute decision but it seemed crazy to miss New Mexico when it was so close. We had a long 9 hour drive ahead but if there was one thing I am used to it was driving. The EagleRider boys were always close behind as the road got more and more windy. We ended up having to drive through an incredible lightening and thunderstorm. To the point where we all actually felt a little nervous about driving on these steep cliff with rain and lightening pouring down on us. We had no choice but to carry on though and we arrived at the Bavarian Lodge around 10pm. It was a beautiful sight to see a bed available after 4 hours of rain.
