Day 44 – Racing on the Salt Flats

In the morning, as I was coming to breakfast, I met Erin Hunter and Andy Sills. This couple were world record holding speed racers and were famous for racing two up. I wasn’t phased by the obvious talent, technique and skill these guys had. It was racing a bike across the Salt Flats, I felt I could still beat them.

Huntersills Racing (as they are known) had been doing this for years and I could see there passion for the sport. As we prepped the bikes for the crazy amount of salt they were about to be caked in, Andy and Erin gave me some tips of their trade. We drove a few miles on to the Bonneville Salt Flats, which is a stunning natural wonder.

As the team set up a base, Huntersills Racing and I went over the rules. I was determined to win. One man vs Two Up. I might have a chance. Check out the race photos… who’s your bet on?
