Taking part in a mountain-biking trip in the Himalayas is something that you can’t miss.

The Himalayas rightfully have a place in the hearts of the entire world. They after all our planet’s

tallest mountains, and incredibly are still growing, so each year that passes the terrain becomes a bit more extreme and the challenge that little bit greater. Don’t let that stop you, it’s not noticeable and they are already epic mountains for an epic adventure.

Think of the Himalayas and you instantly think of trekking, of climbing maybe even skiing, but you can also mountain bike in the lower reaches of the mountains. The foothills offer a great all round adventure, you can explore the local culture, but also enjoy some great terrain for mountain-biking. The route of the tour passes through a varied terrain including technical climbs, some real lung-busting climbs but also some long, wind-through-your-hair descents as well as some undulating paths that combine all of the above.

The route takes riders through Nepalese villages where you have the opportunity to meet the population, but then passes past glorious temples, lush hillside jungle and all the while there are the awe-inspiring snow-capped mountains for company.

This bike ride is one of the all-time greats, and is an achievement few will manage, how many people have you met who can say they’re ridden through the Himalayas!
