This is the ultimate tour for animal lovers… Take a tour which consists of two weeks of living next to wild animals in a semi-luxury tent, working with lions, caring for cubs, cheetahs, giraffes, hyenas and lots of other species of wildlife, and a safari.
Working with lions means you might even have the pleasure of being recognised by one of them. All together now… ‘Awwwwwww.’
When you first arrive in Sandton, Johannesburg, you will be put through orientation, and the park’s rules, before you’ll be able to get stuck in to the project. The first actual day on the project will be spent settling in, and getting to know how things work. You’ll also meet all of the staff in the park and start learning your duties. These could include preparing food for the baby animals, or cleaning out enclosures, sharing shifts at the giraffe feeding station, or protecting the entrance to cub world.
For the next 10 days any visitors to the park will have the chance to fully immerse themselves in park life, and get to know all of the animals they are working with. As they say at the park; ‘the more you put in, the more you’ll get out of this experience!’
After two weeks the park adventure ends and you will be able to spend your last days exploring the Johannesburg area. Bet you’ll miss the lion cubs though!
