Tackle the Lenin Peak- an excitingly challenging climb.

Among the Pamir Mountains the Lenin Peak is the second highest peak of the range, and one of the most popular destinations for mountaineering. It is thought to be one of the less difficult climbs. Difficulty, however, is relative and like all mountains, this is not one to underestimate.

The main risk of this climb is the extreme altitude, it may not be a technically challenging climb, but at this height all actions and decisions are slowed, and mistakes are easy to make. To make sure you don’t make any disastrous mistakes we recommend using a guide the first time you climb the mountain.

Even if this isn’t the most technical of climbs, reaching the summit of the Lenin Peak is a great achievement, and sure to release the hit of endorphins that only overcoming a massive challenge can. It is also a great stepping stone on the way to the even larger mountains the world can throw at you.

Climbing in Central Asia is an experience not to be missed. And if we can’t convince you of the excitement, maybe the name of the heights ‘The Death Zone’ will. This is an epic adventure no question, and the reward of pushing up to these heights is the chance of an amazing view all the way into China.
