Tackle the world of Moroccan food in this cooking adventure.

This is a wonderful opportunity for any budding chefs, or foodies passionate about cooking.

Set in a riad in Marrakech, home to what was once a legendary restaurant in the 1940’s, the riad is now as exquisite, small hotel, with a restaurant that is still one of the most fashionable dining spots in the city. It’s located within the walls of the old medina close to the bustling Jemma El Fna, and it is perfectly placed to allow you to explore the city in an oasis of utter tranquility; which is private but contains an atmosphere of ease, pleasure and gaiety. You can sip refreshing mint tea on flower filled patios, elegant terraces and luxurious sleeping quarters.

Twenty minutes out of town there is also a glorious garden next door to the King’s royal nursery tree in riad’s lovely private swimming pool. The pool itself is shrouded by high earthen walls, rosemary bushes, olive trees and roses, with the Atlas Mountains looming in the distance. Eat figs as you relax in the sun.

Now on to the more important stuff! The cooking lessons are in the Kasbah in the gardens by the pool. They are intimate, with no more than eight people in attendance, and everyone enjoying their own workspaces. The teacher in the sessions is always a dada- a traditional cook who has years of experience. Learn all about the Moroccan culture and cuisine, learn how to make flan aux amandes, pastilla, or even briouate dough.

After a day’s cooking you can spend the evenings having wonderfully exotic massages, mud baths and finish with dinner under the hand painted ceiling of the restaurant. Sounds nice doesn’t it?
